Dr. Yvonne Evrard - Registration

Yvonne, WHYvonne, Vonnie, and Doc are just some of the names our registration lead guru goes by. With a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, ILHC’s official left brain takes care of all the details our collective right brain can’t handle! In addition to her left brain abilities she has also been the right-hand person for  Frankie Manning 95th Birthday, Swing and Soul, Great Southwest Lindyfest, Lone Star Championships and ILHC.
Jerry Almonte - Logistics

Jerry serves as our jack of all trades guy. Official title is Head of Logistics. Which means he has to know what is happening at every single minute of the event, who is responsible and how to fix it (all before the organizers find out).  Jerry has served in organizing and core staff positions for many events including Frankie Mannings 95th birthday celebration in NYC, ILHC, DCLX and Lindy Focus.
Robert Patch - Sound
Robert graduated from college with a degree in theater and a specialty in stage management which has never left him, in spite of years as the owner of a roofing company in Rockville, MD.  Four years on the college radio station left the urge to cue vinyl records deeply ingrained in his psyche which only comes out a couple times a year when he drags out the vinyl LP's and DJ's a few motorcycle meets and car shows.  His love of lindy hop and penchant for being a glutton for punishment led to his involvement in the Washington DC Lindy Exchange for the past 6 years up through this year's battle of the bands ; serving on the Board of Directors as President (08) and Treasurer (06 & 07). Robert will serve as President of DCLX 2012. Robert has been supplying sound and lights for ILHC since its inception and occasionally provides live sound reinforcement for events around the area as time and desire permit.  On most summer weekends you can find him on his boat in and around Port Tobacco, MD.
Scott Angelius – Scoring and Tabulation

Scott began dancing in 1998 in Texas in a cramped rockabilly club without air conditioning (in Texas that means hot) at a lesson he could barely see - and it was awesome. Ever since, he has dedicated copious amounts of time studying Swing, Lindy Hop, dance, and movement in general. Through his love of dance and the spirit that Lindy Hop dancers bring to competitions, Scott has developed his own scoring system. His system has been used at several events including ILHC and Lone Star Championships and allows the events to flow seamlessly from competition to competition.

Tony & Aurelie Tye – Contest Coordinators
Tony and Aurelie look after the huge number of awesome competitors at ILHC. Their role involves registering, collecting, corralling, queuing, cajoling, and cheering! They were honored to do the same job for Frankie's 95th Birthday Festival. Most of their time is spent in Boston where they have been teaching Lindy Hop and running their own studio, Hop to the Beat, since 1995. Tony and Aurelie have learned a thing or two about scheduling, organizing and handling large quantities of dancers after 15 years of hosting Beantown Camp!

Mike Marcotte - DJ Coordinator
Mike Marcotte hails from Washington DC and has served as the Head DJ for ILHC since it's inception. Whether as the house DJ at K2 Dance Studio, putting together Sunday Blues at Glen Echo with his partner Donna Barker, to The Jam Cellar and beyond -- he's always trying to keep the floor rocking. He was honored to have been selected to be among the DJs at the Frankie95 Birthday Festival in NYC. He has served as a competition DJ for several years at Swing Fling, The Virginia State Open, and The American Lindy Hop Championships.
Jaya Gamble – Volunteer Coordinator
Jaya got seriously involved with Lindy Hop in the southeast region of the US in the early 2000’s, teaching and promoting the growth of the dance community with her husband Michael with an emphasis on Lindy Hop and other swing dances. Along with her husband, Jaya organizes and promotes medium and large sized workshop events such as Southern Bell Swing Bash and Lindy Focus and teaches workshops throughout the US.
Jenna Applegarth – Volunteer Coordinator
Jenna first started dancing when she was still in diapers. She began dancing Lindy Hop some many years later, which opened doors to many other forms of dance including vernacular jazz, blues and other various forms of solo and partnered dancing. Jenna continues to expand her dancing repertoire and share her love and knowledge of these dances with others. Although she enjoys pretty much any type of music you can move to, her first love is still Lindy Hop. Jenna has attended, coordinated, and taught various workshops and exchanges throughout the world. Above all else she believes that learning to dance should be fun. She loves finding new ways to connect with other dancers on the floor and in the classroom. You have most likely seen her running around your favorite events working to make sure every attendee has a great time.
Michelle Postles – Staff Hospitality
Southern charm is never lost when Michelle is in the room.  From feeding our body and soul at Swing & Soul to serving up good southern hospitality to our event staff at ILHC, Michelle makes sure all feel at home and comfortable when she is near.  When she is not attending (or helping run) dance events, Michelle is a pediatric occupational therapist and owner and founder of Firefly Studio in Decatur, GA.
Ken Heil – Ballroom Coordinator
He started dancing in early 2005 after relocating from Houston to Ohio. A co-worker suggested it would be a great place to meet people and learn to dance. Now he has danced all over Texas, seven other states and regularly assists with several national events.
Abigail Browning - Marketing Director
Abigail Browning is ILHC's Marketing Director. A Lindy Hopper, Balboa dancer herself, she has been organizing for the past decade, including running her own dance studio and working on and with the Board of The Washington, DC Lindy Exchange. Abigail loves swing music and is a passionate DJ, having spun at weekly dances and at national events. Currently, Aba lives in the Piedmont Triad area in North Carolina, as she attends UNC Greensboro for an MFA in Creative writing.
