Steven Mitchell started his dance career by studying Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Ballroom and Hip Hop in both Los Angeles and New York.
He started Lindy Hoppin / Swing Dancing 1978/1979 together with his partner Erin Stevens. They worked with Al Minns in New York 1982, and brought Frankie Manning out of retirement in 1986 by working together with him.
Since that time, he has taught at countless workshops around the world. He is known for his extremely innovative stlye, improvisation, musicality, and knowledge of body countrol. Constantly looking for new and creative ways to teach, he and partner Virginie's inspiring classes leave Lindy Hoppers everywhere hungry for more and excited about sharing the love of dance.
